Q. What's your Style?
A. DJ SHENN doesn't play just one genre of music; he has over 70,000 songs from the 1940s to today's hit music. DJ SHENN will adapt to your style and make sure your event is exactly as you wish!
Q. What do you wear at events?
A. DJ SHENN dresses appropriately for the occasion; casual at casual events and formal at formal events. For weddings, DJ SHENN wears a suit rather than a tuxedo. Why? Tuxedos are for the Groom and Groomsmen. DJ SHENN wants to make sure all the attention is directed in the right direction- at the guests of honor, the Bride & Groom!
Q. How early do you arrive at events?
A. DJ SHENN's arrival time depends on the type and location of the event. Typically, DJ SHENN will be set up and ready to go approximately 1 hour prior to guest arrival. DJ SHENN always allows time for unforeseen traffic and emergencies.
Q. What type of equipment do you use? Do you have backup equipment in case of an emergency?
A. DJ SHENN uses the best equipment in the business (Bose L1 Series II speakers with 180 degree sound, Pioneer Mixer, Shure Wireless Microphones, Apple iMac Computers, Etc.) DJ SHENN always has backup equipment with him in case of an emergency. DJ SHENN utilizes the Dj Skirts Mobile ProBooth to ensure a professional appearance; you won't see wires hanging everywhere like some Dj's!
Q. Do you take requests from guests?
A. DJ SHENN takes requests from guests as long as the Bride/Groom or Guest of Honor approves it. DJ SHENN prefers to take requests to ensure everyone is having a good time. However, requests are not needed; DJ SHENN knows what music to play depending on the crowd.
Q. How much do you charge?
A. Pricing varies depending on the type of event, location of the event, duration of the event, and the package selected. DJ SHENN offers disc jockey services including wireless LED uplighting, custom monogram/gobo projections, and video/photo booth services.
Q. What if I want to extend the duration of the event at the last minute?
A. DJ SHENN will make every effort to accommodate last minute overtime requests. An extra hour of playing time usually costs between $100-$250 depending upon the package you've selected.
Q. Do you send out contracts when booking events? What do you require for a deposit.
A. Most of DJ SHENN's business is "word of mouth;" most of his business is from repeat customers and referrals from those repeat customers. With that said, DJ SHENN does not require a deposit for any event! DJ SHENN simply requires the client(s) to sign a written contract, which details the specifics of the event and the agreed upon price. There is a 20-25% cancellation clause on the contract.
Q. How many events do you DJ per year?
A. DJ SHENN usually DJ's between 75-100 events per calendar year. DJ SHENN's clientele increases on a yearly basis. Be sure to check DJ SHENN's availability and book well in advance!
Q. Do you use party props?
A. DJ SHENN has props available upon request (blow-up guitars, microphones, wigs, hats, leis, etc). Just ask! DJ SHENN will be sure to accommodate your requests.
